Product description

Plug plastic - round gold (grounded)

This round plastic, earthed plug with two pins is suitable for connection to a 3-pole cord.

Earthed plugs are used with devices with a higher risk of short circuits. This is always the case, for example, with devices with a metal housing or devices that are used in damp areas, such as the bathroom.

An earthed plug ensures that in the event of a short circuit (eg broken, loose wiring, overload or water), the metal parts are not electrified. The current is led back into the earth via the ground wire (in NL: yellow/green wire).

The plug can also be connected to a 2-pole cord. 2-pole cord can also be used for this plug, but the connection of the earth wire is missing, so that the lamp is not earthed. This plug is suitable for use in damp areas, such as the bathroom.

This plug is not suitable for sockets with a pin earthing.
