Gold-colored plastic E27 (M10x1) lamp holder with decorative cap. The lamp holder is made of thermoplastic and finished in a gold lacquer. The lamp holder has a diameter of 39.5 mm. The flange diameter is 57.2 mm and the flange thickness is 3 mm. The total height of the lamp holder is 40 mm.

• Strain relief not included: This lamp holder is supplied without a strain relief. You can order this separately, available in gold, black, or transparent.

Ungrounded lamp holder
This is an ungrounded (2-pin) lamp holder and is suitable for connection to a 2-core cable. The interior mechanism can also be connected to a 3-core cable, but the earth wire cannot be attached. This interior mechanism is not suitable for use in damp areas, such as bathrooms.

Why do you need a strain relief?

A strain relief is essentially the 'seatbelt' for your lamp:

• Protects the electrical wires: Without a strain relief, the entire weight of the lamp hangs from the thin copper wires. This can cause the wires to pull loose from the terminals, which can be dangerous.

• Carries the weight: The strain relief firmly clamps the cable. This ensures the lamp hangs from the outer jacket of the cord, keeping the electrical wires inside safely in place.

• Prevents damage: It ensures that there is no tension or stress on the electrical connections, allowing your lamp to hang safely for years to come.
