Are you making your own floor lamp or table lamp? Sometimes it can be tricky to get the lampshade to sit perfectly straight on the base or fixture—for example, when you are building something onto a vase or a piece of wood. This swivel joint makes it easy to position a lampshade perfectly upright. Place the joint directly under the fixture, allowing you to adjust the shade with ease.
A standard swivel joint is designed to level a fixture if the lamp base itself is slightly uneven, or to straighten the lampshade if it sags a bit due to its own weight. It is not intended for use as an adjustable spotlight; for that purpose, a knuckle or ball joint is a better choice.
This swivel joint features an internal thread (M10x1) and an external thread (M10x1). Made of brass, finished in brass.
